Laser Therapy

Gentle, low-level (Class 2) laser therapy offered as an optional add-on service under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.

A gentle approach to comfort

Low-level laser therapy uses gentle, non-invasive light. At Evenings Porch it has supported residents through rehabilitation and helped keep them comfortable during hospice care.

Our founder, Lee, was introduced to laser therapy by his chiropractor after a serious car accident and credits it with much of his recovery. More than a decade later, he still uses it daily. It is part of our wider focus on brain health and healing. Ask our team whether laser therapy may be a good fit for your loved one.

Comfort that keeps residents present

Lee has seen firsthand how much comfort matters at the end of life. Several residents receiving hospice care, including his own mother, used laser treatments to help manage their pain so they could stay alert and present with their families. Their hospice nurse was amazed at the difference.

Easing everyday aches matters too. When residents hurt less, they are more likely to walk, join activities and keep both mind and body engaged, which is at the heart of our approach to brain health.

How does laser therapy work?

“Our practice administers low level laser therapy treatment using a device that is painless, non-invasive with no negative side effects. The device is designed to speed up your natural healing process by emitting a visible red light to stimulate the body’s production of ATP. ATP is the energy source for every cell in the body. In other words, the laser decreases the amount of pain and inflammation in the body. You will be feeling better more quickly, with increased range of motion and functionality. Low level laser, used post-surgically, dramatically reduces recovery time and reduces post-surgical scar tissue formation.”
